Open a Non-Protected File when a DAtAnchor Protected File is Open Notification

This article explains the hybrid block notification that Anchor users may receive.

Hybrid blocking is a feature that ensures protected and plain text content cannot mix. A user will not be able to consume protected files if a non-protected file or folder is open. The "Hybrid Block" notification is shown below and will appear for one of two reasons. This article will be discussing reason #1 on the hybrid block notification, which is when you try to open a non-protected file when a DAtAnchor protected file is open.


Open non protected file/folder while a protected file/folder is open
This means that you currently have a protected file or folder open on your desktop while trying to open a non-protected file or folder. The protected data will be unreadable in order to secure the data, so it cannot be transferred to an unprotected format. You will need to close out of the non-protected file in order to view the protected content.
