What Are Access Rules?

What Are Access Rules?

Conditions that must be satisfied in order for someone to access Anchored data. Access rules are dynamically placed on new and existing files, which significantly reduces time managing access controls. 


Organization
(Default) Machine must be part of the data owning organization
WIFI
Data can only be consumed under a specific SSID
IP Address
Data can only be consumed under a defined IP range
Geo-fencing
User must be within a defined geographical boundary to consume content


Files will be given default access rules when Anchored. Users with access will be able to change existing Anchored files' access rules.

How to Edit Access Rules on Admin Dashboard?

  1. Open the Anchor dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the User Roles tab.    
  3. Find which user role you want to edit. Hover over the three dots under 'Actions' and click on 'Edit'.                         
  4. From Access Rule Settings, you can edit access rules for the user role. 
  5. Click on Update.
