The decrypted files will be stored in Egnyte.
Step 1: Depending on your configuration, Anchored files may or may not be set up to have a .da. If so, select a “.da” file. If not, select any file that is protected. Open up the right-click menu and select 'Remove Anchor Protection.'
Step 2: A new window will open to notify you that Anchor protection is being removed. The file will be securely decrypted in Anchor servers and the decrypted file is saved back to Egnyte.
Egnyte Connect
Users with Egnyte Connect (Z drive) will have access to files on their endpoint machines. This will allow for native consumption of protected content.
How to Remove Anchor Protection Using Egnyte Connect
The decrypted files will be stored in Egnyte.
Step 1: Go to the shared folder in Egnyte Connect and select a protected file. Right click on the file and select 'Remove Anchor Protection.'
You may also select 'Anchor,' 'unAnchor My Data' and 'unAnchor My Files' to unAnchor your file.
Step 2: A new window will open, letting you know that you have successfully removed Anchor protection from the file. The file will no longer have an anchor on it. The file will be securely decrypted in Anchor servers and saved back to Egnyte.
